Electric Zoo Completing their “Transformation” With a Massive Lineup

Electric Zoo – Transformed, one of the Northeast’s major music festivals, has announced their phase two lineup of the revolutionized festival and it is anything but disappointing. Electric Zoo has had some serious rebranding to do after a series of unfortunate festival events, including safety issues and weather. The Dutch promoter ID&T, who are also responsible for TommorrowWorld and Mysteryland, have acquired Electric Zoo and are now making the festival more of an interactive, storytelling experience that festival goers can immerse themselves into. “You can’t just put a DJ in front of an LED screen,” explain Jeoren Jansen, ID&T’s longtime creative director in a Billboard interview. “You need storytelling — from the minute you start your ticketing campaign to the grounds themselves.” Anyone who has attended an ID&T show (shoutout to Mysteryland that went down this past weekend) knows exactly what Jansen is talking about. Electric Zoo- Transformed will be taking place on September 4, 5, and 6th at Randall’s Island Park in New York City.

Now for the lineup! The three headliners announced will be The Chemical Brothers (who will also be headlining Hard Summer, for you West Coast people who can’t make it out East), Above & Beyond, and Alesso. The lineup is literally the ABC’s of EDM artists from Alison Wonderland to Zeds Dead, with Bro Safari, Oliver Heldens, and The Martinez Brothers in between. With such an eclectic lineup of artists, Electric Zoo is sure to cater to every attendees EDM genre of choice.

Electric Zoo will feature three curated stages: All Gone Pete Tong, Awakenings, and Thomas Jack. The All Gone Pete Tong stage will feature cutting edge British artists hand selected by the BBC Radio 1 pioneer himself. The Awakenings stage will highlight the long-running Dutch techno festival for the first time in North America. Awakenings founder Rocco Veenboer explains that the sound and vibes coming from this stage will alter everyday. “The Friday will have a stronger techno sound and the Saturday will be more tech house.” Finally, the Australian tropical house superstar, Thomas Jack, will host his own stage, which is sure to be the destination for all Electric Zoo-ers that are in need of some more mellow tunes.
