Weekly Underground Sound: Splash House Sessions with Droog

Festival season is very much underway and with loads of lineups for festivals coming out, along with new music, and new artists to listen to, it’s like Christmas in the summer. With all events, big and small, there’s always a few names on that lineup you haven’t heard of until the end of the festival, you know, when everyone is bragging about how hard so-and-so killed it at their set. Well, don’t let that happen this weekend at Splash House while Droog is on the decks. Droog, a trio based our of Los Angeles, have really become the renaissance men for the underground movement. Springing from DJ roots from the early 2000s, they’ve taken on several roles to spearhead the deep dance music movement, most notably as label heads of Culprit. Additionally they’ve hosted a party series that has spanned over the Americas and Europe, while as producers they’ve worked with labels such as Noir, Last Night on Earth, and Get Physical.

Splash House Sessions #2: Droog

Next weekend, Droog is taking their brooding dance tunes to Splash House in Palm Springs. This mix samples from a great spectrum of house and techno sounds, proving that this DJ collective is sure to set the oasis party in the desert on fire. Kicking off with a sample from Flight of the Concords, this mix spirals into a frenzy of perfectly fitting tunes that is sure to make the FOMO kick in pretty hard for those not attending.

Be sure to catch Droog at Splash House next weekend, June 13-14!
