RB Weekend Preview: Getting Swanky On This Astronomically Eptic Weekend

This weekend we have some artists coming to town that might be a little under the radar, but if you have never heard of them, you definitely need to check them out and when better than now!? On Friday we have both Astronomar, the Main Course record label owner and US club stalwart, as well as Eptic, the Belgian bass maker and prodigy. Following that up on Saturday is the Russian electro trio, Swanky Tunes, who will be pleasing the ears of the guests of Talking Stick Resort. Take a look at the artists below:

A Show of Astronomical Proportions with Astronomar at Bar Smith (7/24   9pm)

Astronomar has been taking over the club scene all over the United Sates repping labels such as Dim Mak, Mad Decent, OWSLA, and his own, Main Course. His parasol of fame really flew away with the wind when Skrillex and Boys Noise played out his remix of Wax Motif & Neoteric’s “Go Deep” at both Ultra Music Fest in Miami and Coachella. The song also made its way on to Skrillex’s BBC 1 Essential Mix. Following the success of his remix, Diplo and DJ Fresh courted Astronomar to remix their extremely successful club tune, “Earthquake”, which would go on to be released via Ministry of Sound. After holding numerous festival appearances and making his way across Australia, Astronomar has finally made his way down to the Old West and you have the opportunity to catch him this Friday night at Bar Smith!

WAX MOTIF & NEOTERIC – GO DEEP (ASTRONOMAR REMIX)

Let the Eptic Bass Consume You with Eptic at BRKFST @ Nite (7/24   9pm)

If you don’t think Astronomar would really be your thing, then there is always Belgian bass wunderkind, Eptic, who will be taking to the turntable at BRKFST on the very same night. Eptic established himself by signing with Never Say Die records and releasing his debut EP entitled, Like a Boss. The EP debuted at number 5 on the Beatport dubstep charts. Since this impressive debut, Eptic has gone on to craft remixes of tracks of some of the biggest names in the industry including, but not limited to, Fedde Le Grand, Datsik, and Excision. After headlining Hollywood’s NYE event this last year, Eptic is showing no signs of slowing down. Just this month he released a brand new track with Relentless Beats alumni, FuntCase, entitled “Oh Shit!”, which is exactly how you will respond to his show this Friday night!

Getting Swanky Poolside with Swanky Tunes at Release Pool Party (7/25 11am)

Swanky Tunes have been all over the map since their inception in 1998 playing the clubs of Moscow. Since then they have played a number of festivals around the world including Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra, as well as supporting some of the biggest electronic tours in history including Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour, Avicii’s Le7els Tour, and Tiesto’s Club Life at Pacha Ibiza. Their anthemic sound has led to them being one of the most sought after remix teams in the world, having been contracted by Zedd, R3hab, Dada Life, and even Alesso to create some of the most memorable remixes in recent memory. The group has reached so much international acclaim that one of their tracks was featured in the sixth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise. This month, they released their most recent single alongside Tom Swoon entitled, “Last Goodbye” which can be heard below. However, don’t think that based on the title of their song that these guys are going anywhere. Swanky Tunes is here to stay, so make your way out to Release this Saturday to find out why!

Don’t miss out on the chance to catch some of these amazing acts this weekend, see you on the dance floor!
