Relentless Beats

Bixel Boys Extend a Hand of Amigo-ship with Free Download

Los Angeles natives and Big Room Underground pioneers, Bixel Boys have returned and they bring gifts in the form of their latest sunny and sweet track “Amigo”. The track, released off of online label Nest HQ, shows fans a much more mellow side to the duo, rather than their more upbeat and grittier songs. Starting out playing as the underdogs of the dance music stages, Bixel Boys has quickly risen above and shed that underdog skin and now sport their shiny new coat as one of dance music’s biggest stars. In the short time they’ve been in the spotlight, they’ve managed to play at some of the biggest clubs in the country, taking on stages such as Verboten in New York, Grand Central in Miami, The Mid in Chicago, and, of course, Sound and Exchange in Los Angeles. Along with performances at some of the most legendary clubs in America, they’ve also had featured mixes on the THUMP Mixed By series, the Triple J Exclusives, Nest HQ, Discobelle, and so many more.

Bixel Boys – Amigo [NestHQ Premiere]

Their latest release, the spontaneous but wonderful “Amigo” has a definite summer air around it. It’s a track that would be perfect over that summer montage of nights and days just blending together. The track, acting as a light relief to the otherwise regularly bass heavy repertoire of the Bixel Boys, starts with a staccato clapping rhythm, then suddenly a bright piano melody washes over deep synths, quickly transporting you into some house music island feels. “Amigo” serves as great example of the Bixel Boys ability to produce music from any point of the wide spectrum that is dance music.
