Rüfüs Du Sol Announce Four Stop North American 
‘You Were Right’ Tour

Live electronic stars RÜFÜS DU SOL return to the North American spotlight for an exclusive 4 date exposé of indie-house gold as part of their ‘You Were Right’ World Tour. The shows will celebrate the trio’s recent hit releases exhibiting their unique range from emotive ballads to shear dancefloor heat – kicking off November 5th at Venue Nightclub in Vancouver.

This tour comes on the wake of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Summer 2015 single ‘You Were Right’ which was written upon the band’s return to Australia after a Winter writing music in Berlin. The track and freshly released music video tell a story of unrequited longing for someone, and manages to pair the darkness of a Berlin Winter with the sun kissed euphoria of Sydney in the Summertime.

‘You Were Right’ follows the group’s massively successful ATLAS LP. The album was certified Gold status, and quickly propelled RÜFÜS DU SOL onto international stages. After amassing a slew of awards and nominations for the album, and having two of their songs named ‘Essential New Tunes’ by Pete Tong on his BBC Radio One show, RÜFÜS DU SOL departed for over a year of touring the world, including a series of headlining North American tours in 2014 and a recent festival run this Summer.

RÜFÜS DU SOL’s success is hinged on their musicianship and a diverse fusion of talents. Keyboardist Jon George, vocalist/guitarist Tyrone Lindqvist and drummer James Hunt offer a totally unique perspective on the electronic space, and are part of a growing contingent of Australian showstoppers, fusing live and club elements of dance music.

In Jon’s own words, “we started the band just wanting to be able to play shows to our friends at parties. So to now be able to announce a tour that takes us all around Australia and to the other side of the Pacific to some of the most amazing cities in North America is amazing. Playing new music to crowds who want to dance is the best thing you can do. You know instantly what works. So we’re back in the studio refining a few songs before we go out and play them during this tour”.

After a run of dates in Australia and a weekend of North American festivals, including One Tribe and TomorrowWorld this Fall, RÜFÜS DU SOL will touch down at Venue Nightclub in Vancouver, Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, Mezzanine in San Francisco and Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York.
