Chris Lake Delivers Jam-Packed HARD Day of the Dead Mixtape

One of the biggest events of the fall, HARD Day of the Dead is just around in the corner. In anticipation of the large event, HARD Day of the Dead is bringing you the second mixtape in their Official Mixtape Series. The first of the series featured Marshmello, a mysterious producer that’s on the rise who has received support from some of the biggest in the business, from Jauz to Skillex. Well, the next mixtape on deck showcases the talent of Chris Lake, a Scottish producer who has linked up with the likes of Anna Lunoe, John Dahlback and Funkagenda and has created musical works of art that have spanned many of the sub-genres of dance music.

HARDDOTD15 Official Mixtape Series: Chris Lake

In this mix, Chris Lake expresses a sound that reflects the darker, grittier sounds of dance music, touching on hot tracks like Denney’s “Low Frequency” and his collaboration with Anna Lunoe, “Stomper”. Along with those deep, dark underground tracks, Chris Lake incorporates an energetic but bass-y remix to former HARD headliner, The Weeknd’s hit “I Can’t Feel My Face” and his own remix of Calvin Harris’s latest crossover hit, “How Deep Is Your Love”. All throughout the mix, Chris Lakes keeps a high, intense energy up, which is undoubtedly something he’ll be bringing to the stage at HARD Day of the Dead.

As a producer with a reputation for being one of dance music’s most innovative producers, Chris Lake is definitely a force to be reckoned with. His work has been featured on the Billboard Charts, MTV and his talents have taken him from Vegas to Ibiza and everywhere in between. From his unreleased edits to his exclusive tracks and his unforeseen collaborations, Chris Lake is a man of many ideas and what he brings to stages and sound systems is just the tip of the iceberg.
