Andre Haglund, better known as the talented rising artist DREZO he is today, has made strides in his producing career through his devotion to the music, spending as much time as possible in the studio as he can. Not more than two years later from releasing his first tracks, the now 23-year-old has become a staple of his own sound as DREZO, with, in his own words, “an avid passion for house music.” Constantly devoting his time to working in the studio has made him the DJ to Watch he is today.
Now based out of the beautiful city of Los Angeles, DREZO goes against the grain by taking every piece of his work, whether it be his arsenal of remixes or his own original tracks, the signature underground house sound fused with bass shines through, adding originality to his music. He’s excited about the future of electronic music because of, “the amount of upcoming talented producers and DJs. There are so many brilliant artists out there that need more recognition.” He does believe, however that, “the general public needs to stop the hyped up animosity towards the ‘mainstream’ if we ever want to progress as a scene.”
I’ve been told DREZO has always been extremely dedicated, spending hours on end in the studio working to make his dream happen. And in the end, he made his dream a reality with releases off of prestigious labels such as Mad Decent and OWSLA, after growing up in right here in Phoenix, AZ, devoting post high-school days to relocating to Los Angeles to pursue elevating his career in music production was no doubt the right choice.
His latest work is a remix of “Bodies” by Drowning Pool. Released just a couple weeks back as a free gift to the fans, Drezo once again finds a way to perfectly meld together genres with his own dark house and deep techno vibes. Let the bodies hit the floor with this new entrancing house track – download the DREZO remix of “Bodies” for FREE right here: https://www.hive.co/l/ixpy
One of my personal favorite tracks out of his accumulated collection of tracks from his past two years producing and releasing tracks would have to be “GUAP.” I’m all about that GUAP because the shit don’t stop. Buy “GUAP” on iTunes or grab the FREE download here: www.hive.co/l/7e5b
Other artists have decided to take on “Forgot About Dre” like Henrix & Adrien Mezsi, but DREZO’s is truly something else. Receiving over 338,000 plays on Soundcloud, the Dr. Dre classic is transformed into a bass house classic with the masterwork of Andre, cutting the original with his own dark vibe styles while still retaining the classic vocals in samples like, who do you think taught you to smoke trees? Lucky for all of you, DREZO will be returning to back to where he grew up, right here in Phoenix for Phoenix Lights Music Festival, amongst a star-studded lineup you definitely won’t want to miss – grab your tickets now so you don’t miss out on the fun – you know you’re going to go, so don’t wait for the prices to go up!
