So if you’re unfamiliar, Europe has a huge electronic dance scene. The night life is strong over seas and when the sun sets nearly every corner of any street suddenly has thumping bass and a four on the floor for anyone to groove to. Currently dominating the scene in Europe just about 5,500 miles away from us is the German group DBN. They reside specifically in Hamburg, Germany and the trio contains Djani Dzihan, Tobias Hahn, Patrick Kroepels.
In addition to these guys continually throwing down for over the past decade, we had the awesome opportunity here at Relentless Beats to give you the exclusive premiere of their new track. Originally this track was actually done 10 years ago, but it was such a banger back in the day the trio decided to sit down again and modernize the song for all the contemporary clubs.
Their original, “Jack is Back,” had a deep/techno house feel to it but with this new rendition they changed the track title to “Jack is Back Again” and added hints of electro/future house. The track starts with a shuffling beat that instantly grabs the listeners attention. The energy then dissipates and slowly begins to build back up again before you can really tell where the future house elements come in. As soon the anticipation is at a all time high the song explodes into full swing as the retro vocal refrain emerges! Just by listening to the two versions you can tell yourself that DBN have really done a successful job at revamping this amazing classic of theirs.
Even after this song, DBN continues to push the boundaries of their genre diverse sound and inimitable style that has seen them tour the world over. With support from many of the most influential characters in the industry, like Bob Sinclar, David Guetta, Showtek and Laidback Luke among many others, it is clear why DBN are ones to watch in 2016. Be sure to keep up to date with the German trio at their socials below for release and touring info!
