Back in February, following an interview conducted with Seven Lions, I geeked out with Jeff Montalvo and his wife Emma over Game of Thrones. If you follow Seven Lions on socials you know that he is a huge fan of George RR Martin’s fantasy series and that he’s not afraid to admit it.
Game of Thrones Season 6: March Madness Promo
With the sixth season of the television show set to air later this month, and the question “what will happen to Jon Snow?” on everyone’s mind, I wanted to share with you the thoughts of Jeff and Emma on the potential fate of one of the show’s most beloved characters…
What is the fate of Jon Snow?
Jeff: “Melissandre’s gonna come back. She left Stannis and she’s gonna walk her ass up back to the wall, back to Castle Black, and Jon Snow’s gonna be all dead and she’s gonna do her thing and he’s gonna come back. That’s what I think.”
But that’s not all he had to say:
Jeff: “And also I think the reason that that is kind of supported is that, Thoros of Myr, he gets killed and then he comes back. So I think that’s what’s gonna happen to Jon. It has to.
Emma pushes the conversation further:
Emma: “But do we think that Jon will be immortal?”
To which Jeff responds, “But the whole thing is the prophecy of Azor Ahai, and his whole thing is that he died and came back to life, it’s just like, he’s fulfilling the prophecy.”
He’s got the kings blood.
Jeff: “I mean, yeah, he’s a fuckin’ Targaryen! I mean the only thing is, is that now that everybody knows that, I feel like George RR Martin is the kind of guy who would just be like ‘ha, I’m gonna change it.’ So, yeah, I think that’s what’s gonna happen… If that doesn’t happen I’m going to be very surprised and I hope they do something good with it.”
The conversation went on, but not regarding Jon Snow. Emma brought up another character from the show, one who is set to have a strong showing this season:
Emma: “And everyone thinks Sansa is pregnant.”
Jeff: “With who? Oh, a little Bolton bastard.”
Emma: “They released the photos from the upcoming season and she’s got a little bump, and people are like, is it just her outfit or is there a little baby bump under there? She’d have a little shit child though.”
Jeff: “Westeros doesn’t need anymore Boltons.”
So there you have it… According to Seven Lions and his wife, Jon Snow will be reborn under the prophecy of Azor Ahai, and Sansa will be giving birth to a shit-of-a-child Bolton baby. To close out the conversation, Jeff had this to say:
Jeff: “Well that got really nerdy really quick. Nice.”
