Hype or Die: Riot Ten is Bringing the Firepower to Monarch Theatre Tonight!

Thursday night is not your usual go out and get lit kind of night, but tonight is a special exception. It’s Lit presents to you Riot Ten and Cybrpnk at the Monarch Theatre leading into the stellar Memorial Day Weekend we have planned for you all.

For those of you unfamiliar with Riot Ten, get educated, because this guy is bringing some hefty BASS to town on Thursday night. If you are a fan of breaking your neck and losing your hearing, this is the show for you. Riot Ten, or Chris Wilson, as he is know to those close to him, has been producing hip-hop since the age of 15, but since then has slowly developed his style into something more closely relating to dubstep and trap.

The producer just recently dropped his EP Hype or Die: Headbangerz earlier this week via Firepower. This is a heavy two-track EP with co-productions from Brewski, Rathero, and Bunji Garlin. Kicking it off with the EP’s title track, “Headbangerz,” the hip-hop influence is immediately recognizable, but when the bass drops you can’t help but to “bang your f”ckin’ head.”

Track number 2 on this hard-hitting release is the track “Like Kanye” with Rathero. This song takes on a reggae identity mixed with a slap-you-in-the-face trap drop, evocative of a Major Lazer track receiving a fierce pummeling by some nasty Yellow Claw bass.

With support from some of the hugest names in the bass game including DJ Snake, The Chainsmokers, Datsik, Flux Pavilion, 4B, and releases on labels like Firepower, Buygore, and Elysian Records, Riot Ten is on the fast track to taking over the bass game.

You are going to kick off you #MDW16 appropriately by accepting a proper beating from the fists of BASS tonight at Monarch!
