Make Your Mark: Oliver Heldens Gets Hella Deep with Heldeep Records

What another fabulous weekend we have to look forward to!  There are too many great DJ’s coming to Phoenix this weekend like Dirtyphonics, Funtcase, Habstrakt, Kevin Federline and most importantly Oliver Heldens.

It’s surprising at such a young age, Oliver Heldens already made his marks in this industry. Let’s talk about how successful Oliver Heldens is at age 21! First of all, he started his career in 2013 at the age of 18. That same year, Tiesto signed Heldens on with his record label. During his second year of his career, he launched his own record label, Heldeep Records. Throughout 2014, he performed at various festivals like EDC, Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo Festival. Heldens was also ranked #34 in the DJ Magazine Top 100 in 2014. In 2015, Oliver Heldens revealed his identity as mysterious future house DJ, HI-LO. Do I need to say more? He has a very extensive career for only three years. Needless to say, Oliver Heldens has definitely made his mark on the music industry.

Initially, Oliver Heldens became quite comfortable at Spinnin’ Records, but he decided to make his mark and start Heldeep Records in 2014.  With the flexibility of his own record label, Oliver Heldens is able to create whatever he wants whenever he wants, including music as his alias HI-LO. Last Friday, (April 29) marked Heldens’ 100th mixtape for his record label Heldeep! This kid is on fire. Two weeks ago, Heldens released ‘Space Sheep’ with Chocolate Puma and received over 31,000 likes on Soundcloud.

Oliver Heldens does not have an exact plan of how big or where his record label will go.  There is no set plan as to if this record label is going to be mostly his own production of music, or if he wants to release new tracks from various artists.  Either way, this record label is killer.  With over 93,000 followers for Heldeep Records on Soundcloud, there is no stopping Heldeep’s continuous growth. Check out Heldeep’s 100th mix before you go see Oliver Heldens this Saturday at Release Pool Party. Don’t forget to follow and listen to his record label and radio, Heldeep Records and Heldeep Radio. You’ll thank me later after you go through “hella deep” withdrawals once his show is over.
