RB Weekend Preview: Your Memorial Day Weekend Festivity Guide

It’s time to fire up those grills, put on some hot dogs and hamburgers, and crack open a fresh brew with some of your friends and/or family… scratch that, its time to rage. We have already brought out some HUGE names to the Talking Stick Resort Pool Parties including opening weekend with DVBBS, followed by Diplo the weekend after the next. The last three weekends have included Oliver Heldens, Wolfgang Gartner, Quntino, Tigerlily, and Bingo Players. For the big #MDW16 we’re bringing someone very special, the “God of EDM”  himself, Skrillex. As soon as the sun sets and Skrillex’s set is over, we’ll move to Illenium that night. The next day at Talking Stick we will see Robin Schulz followed by Malaa that night. But of course before the weekend even starts we can’t forget that we have Night Bass with AC Slater, Petey Clicks, and Jack Beats on Friday night and Riot Ten preceding that on Thursday night! So lets go ahead and dive into the RB Weekend Preview for MDW16.

It’s LIT presents WAR ft Riot Ten + Cybrpnk – 5/26

Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Riot Ten (Christopher Wilson) is exploding into the world of electronic dance music. Originating as a Hip Hop producer at the age of 15, Chris’s music has evolved into a unique blend of the Trap and House genres. Featured on top music blog sites such as Smash The Club, Digilove, EDM Sauce, Trapstyle, Trap Sounds and Fist In The Air, Riot Ten is gaining momentum from coast-to-coast.

Jack Beats, AC Slater, Petey Clicks @ Night Bass – 5/27

All your favorite Night Bass crew is coming Friday night on May 27th to unleash a complete wildfire of bass in yo’ face. They’ve recently just released their “This Is Night Bass Volume 3“ and they’ve loaded on a whole new crew of fresh names that we have never seen before! With support from Arizona’s very own Blossom and I’m really hoping Bijou makes an appearance since he just got his own “We Don’t Dance” released on Night Bass as well. Be sure to check it out on the play list below!

Skrillex at Talking Stick Resort – 5/28

So I don’t think I have to say much about how amazingly dope this day is going to be. Skrillex has been around for a long time and is easily one of the most notable icons in EDM. From being a member of Jack U, to his debut EP My Name Is Skrillex back in 2010, he’s touched pretty much every corner of the music scene one way or another. He even won an award as Jack U for best dance record album a while back at the Grammy’s! Check out the playlist below as well for some of Skrillex’s most well known songs.

Illenium at Monarch Theater – 5/28

llenium made his mark in 2015 with his remixes of Kaskade’s “Disarm You,” Galantis’ “Gold Dust” and Niykee Heaton’s “Infinity,” but 2016 would be the year he really starts to set himself aside as a completely unique producer. He dropped his debut album in February of 2016 and within the first days it easily jumped to the number one electronic music album on iTunes. Since then he hasn’t slowed down including a remix of The Chainsmokers and and collab with Dirt Monkey.

Robin Schulz at Talking Stick Resort – 5/29

As the sun starts to set, all you’ll be wanting to hear are Robin Schulz’s groovy, smooth tracks. The tropical house vibes calm the soul, while 13 year old Jasmine Thompson’s vocals shine bright. It is gonna to be the perfect way to relax after going hard to Skrillex’s set the day before!

Space Yacht Presents Malaa, Sinden – 5/29

Who is MALAA? Well I can tell you one thing; when you have a breakout single that speaks for itself like “Notorious” your identity is simply irrelevant. Having just completed their Pardon My French Tour, this past April the mysterious masked producer joined DJ Snake, Tchami, and Mercer as they took over America. From trap to future house, the star power of these 4 artists combined is insane. In addition to the entire Who Is Malaa mix series, the first two original tracks by the masked musician, “Notorious” and “Fade” both were released on Tchami’s brand new label Confession, while incorporating some old-school hip-hop vibes with the house music of the future, much like MALAA’s “H + M” track – it’s all about the house music & it always has been!

All the links for tickets are in the titles so if you just click on them it should bring you to the right place! Seriously thought this weekend is stacked and I’m really hoping that a lot of you guys can make it out so these events cause they are going to be absolutely insane!
