RB Weekend Preview: Your Cure To Those Post EDC Blues – Rezz, R3HAB, Bryson Tiller, Boombox Cartel, and Posso

Now that EDC weekend has officially come and gone, it’s time to head back to the blistering heat. If you did go to EDC, then I don’t have to share about how massive it was! And fro those of you who didn’t, just ask those who did to find out what you missed out on. I’m sure everyone is battling with some post-EDC depression, so that’s why this weekend we are back in full force with a total of 5 shows for everyone to cure their EDC hangover. We’ve got the girl with the LED glasses Rezz, R3hab & KimKat at Talking Stick for a pool party, Bryson Tiller, Boombox Cartel & Laxx, and Posso again for a pool party

6/24 – REZZURECTION 2016 TOUR FT. REZZ

She’s been blowing up all over the place lately with some of her insane remixes of Deadmau5, Kill The Noise, and Marilyn Manson, She’s got LED glasses that light up and flash different colors while she plays, and she is going to Shady Park this Friday to throw Arizona the perfect start to the weekend after EDC. She’s been releasing her music on Deadmau5’s Mau5trap label as well and she just have her latest EP released on Deadmau5’s label again 5 months ago. Check it out below in the soundclound player:

6/25 – R3HAB + KimKat

R3hab is most undoubtably known for some of his amazing remixes. He just remixed Rhianna and Clavin Harris’s new song “This Is What You Came For” and has also hit several other notable remixes such as Calvin Harris & John Newman’s “Blame” Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better”, and Bruno Mars “Locked Out of Heaven”. He’s got a lot of collabs with artist all over the map including Sander Van Doorn, KSHMR, Nervo, and much more.

Dj duo Kimkat consists of two gorgeous and very talented females, Kim Lee and Katrina Nova. They met in 2007 and have been friends ever since. At that time both were pursuing modeling careers and had much in common. The Duo was approached to appear on a DJ show, excited by the djing experience, both decided to start their careers as djs and attended Scratch Academy in LA. Apl de Ap from The Black Eyed Peas realized the girls’ potential and offered to manage them and they are now currently touring in Asia, Europe, South and North America.

6/25 – Bryson Tiller

With three songs (“Don’t,” “Exchange” and “Just Another Interlude”) claiming the No. 1 spot on Billboard‘s Emerging Artists chart, it’s clear that Tiller is doing something right here. Hailing from Kentucky, the 22-year-old is now holding the torch for his hometown of Louisville. the singer dropped his debut album, T R A P S O U L, exclusively on Apple Music one week before its official worldwide release on Oct. 2. For an artist who hasn’t entered the lexicon of many music snobs, he scored a major feat; the project has claimed the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart and the No. 11 position on the Billboard 200 chart. Not bad at all for the new guy with no features on his LP. Not to mention that just a year ago he was living in his car and working three jobs while creating music. He’s definitely going to throw an impressive show and that’s why he is going to be throwing down in the warehouse over at Rawhide.

6/25 – Boombox Cartel + LAXX

I don’t think I need to say much about these two groups because they are absolutely tearing everything up that they are going by when they come to town. Boombox Cartel is probably most notably known for their collb with NGHTMRE “Aftershock” . Since then they have been all over the place creating singles and remixes of several artists including Louis The Child, Slander, Dillon Francis, DJ Snake, and RL Grime. Check out some of their tracks in the playlist below:

Laxx has been releasing track son the Never Say Die label with some of the filthiest dubstep you will hear today. He was back here in February with the Never Say Die tour and their brand new Never Say Die Volume 4. Accompanying the album release, LAXX has been dropping banger after banger with hisTwitch Pt1. & Pt2 compilation over the last couple months.  The most popular being his track with Brillz, “Destruktion.”

6/26 – Posso

Have you ever heard that song “Last Night A DJ Saved My Life”? Yeah then you’ve heard of Posso before. While they only have about 6,000 followers on soundcloud, they worked with several others such as Amtrac, Party Favor, and have been released on the infamous Armada label. Check out some of their originals and features below!

So with that you should be able to pick from something in order to help with some of the blues you may be feeling after taking in all the intensity that EDC is! Links to buy tickets are in the titles of each show so make sure to get them before prices go up!
