Cashmere Cat’s New Single Will Have You Falling in “Wild Love”

In 2014, Cashmere Cat released his last project, the Wedding Bells EP. Since then, he has produced music for artists like Kanye West, Ariana Grande, A$AP Ferg, and more.

In addition to producing for other artists, Cashmere Cat has been hinting at his very own debut album. From instagram posts about being hard at work in the studio to tweets about how this is the best music he’s ever done, the anticipation for its release has been growing immensely.

And on Thursday, one day before its anticipated August 26th release, Cashmere dropped the first single off his debut album. “Wild Love” features The Weeknd and Francis and the Lights.

The song begins with distorted vocals from Francis and the Lights, which soon leads into The Weeknd’s falsetto. Cashmere Cat’s light synths and classic tone create a song filled with longing and desire, rather than mainstream drops and upbeat vibes. “Wild Love” is definitely a great addition to any “Get it on” playlist, especially if you’re trying to take things slow and sensual.

Overall, Cashmere Cat’s unique production style make this track bizarre and beautiful all that the same time.

“Wild Love” will also be the name of Cashmere Cat’s full length album, which will be released on Benny Blanco’s Mad Love imprint on Interscope Records.

If you’re loving the chillwave style Cashmere Cat incorporates in this single, don’t miss out when he opens for Flume this September at Comerica. Grab your tickets to experience all the vibes Cashy Cat has to offer.
