Phoenix-native and Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Drezo is making huge moves. In a music scene full of tiring trends, it’s rare for an artist to break the mold and make a statement creatively that people can connect to. Drezo challenges the mainstream standard by staying true to his own powerful underground sounds of house music. Through his compositions and remixes, the 24-year-old aims to represent the darker and more imaginative side of EDM. With releases on OWSLA & Mad Decent, Drezo has proven that his haunting surge of originality is being accepted by the masses. His work with Dillon Francis (DJ Hanzel) and constantly devoting time in the studio has helped him evolve and innovate towards a sound that is now being widely recognized by the likes of Diplo, Destructo, Porter Robinson, Tchami, Zedd, DJ Snake and more, solidifying Drezo’s placement among the world’s top-tier dance producers. His latest track, “Dead,” released just two days ago is sure to be another hit in his ever-expanding discography.
We love this new banger so much we just had to make it our Relentless Beat of the Week.
“Dead” is the first release off of his upcoming EP Jaded. It’s one of his dirtiest, most aggressive tracks to date. Drezo explores the darker underground bass sounds with this new single. In a Billboard article he said, “With the EP, I wanted to highlight the different genres I’ve been influenced by in the past, as well as show my direction for the future of the project,”
The EP is set to release July 14th, and will include two additional tracks, “Jaded” and “Real.” Expect a variety of sounds from the new EP and plenty of that deep, deep bass! Connect with his socials to stay up to date on EP announcements.
