Habstrakt’s New Track is ‘Vibin’

Habstrakt didn’t play around last year.  He teamed up with Skrillex on the global phenomenon “Chicken Soup.”  Since that epic release, Habstrakt has been working hard busting out new remixes and singles while still finding time to appear on an impressive amount of lineups, including EDC LV. If you somehow missed the Habstrakt memo it’s time to catch up. Born Adam Jouneau, the French producer might once have been impossible to see live since he lives in France, but lucky for us, he’s spent a great deal of time recently making sure the music consumers in the States know his name. His most recent proclamation comes in the form of “Vibin.”

This track finds the sweet spot between dark and bouncy music. The vocals piping “it’s vibin” and the sing-songy “ooh ooh” bring the mood up, but the bass weaved through this track keep it from getting too cheery. The tempo drops from house to dubstep, and that’s when this Frenchman drops the filth. Habstrakt never fails to kill it when it comes to bass house, and this track definitely doesn’t disappoint.
