Artist Spotlight: Eric Prydz

Eric Prydz is arguably one of the most iconic House producers of our time. The Swedish DJ rose to fame back in 2004 with his hit single, “Call on Me,” and saw continued chart success with his 2007 single “Proper Education” and 2008 “Pjanoo.” He released his first debut album, Opus, in 2016 and won DJ of the Year at the Electronic Music Awards.

Prydz has made gained recognition from both mainstream and underground fans. No longer interested in making the same music he made over a decade ago, Prydz now experiments with House, Techno, and Trance, under different aliases, like Pryda and Cirez D.

Prydz launched his own record label, Pryda Recordings in 2004, and 1o years later for the anniversary, he announced PR(10)DA, a collection of unreleased tracks from January 2004 to December 2014. The collection was later released in a set of three EPs, and was received successfully. Later that year, he played at the Madison Square Garden for the third installment of his concert, Eric Prydz in Concert – EPIC 3.0. The show featured new music, new visuals, and the mesmerizing hologram visual that many can’t stop talking about.
