Artist Spotlight: Eli & Fur

DJ Duo Eli & Fur are bringing their irresistibly aesthetic vibes to Shady Park in just a few short weeks. Hailing from London, England, the two have been inseparable since their teens taking time to craft their style, image, and intriguing life into something full of lovely melodies and boundless bass lines. [Eli]za Noble and Jennifer[Fur] Skillman moved away from mixing songs to creating original tracks and playing live sets to set them apart from the massive pool of talent in their area. The competition only drove the two to strive for more originality and being friends for quite some time has helped motivate one another to provide an endless creative partnership.

Eli & Fur – You’re So High

Their debut track released 2013, “You’re So High,” reached #1 on Hype Machine and now has over 20 million plays online. They’ve collaborated with DJs like Shadow Child, OC&Verde, and RIVRS while working with imprints like Beatport and Anjunadeep. Eli & Fur’s continued releases on their own NYX Music has continued to receive praise and notable attention from DJs all over the globe. With an authentic passion, the two have been propelled headstrong into opportunities and achievements, including nominations for “Best Newcomer,” “Best Producer,” and “Best Breakthrough Artist” across multiple platforms.

2015 really marked their entrance into the scene. Dropping their California Love EP supported their first North American Tour in which they took the opportunity to channel their inner Thelma & Louise. Traversing over 15 locations for 15 shows, the two documented everything from plane rides to studio sessions, capturing their infectious artistic spirit. They knew the marketing approach would be different for the US crowds, but the video only inspires individual adventure as we follow theirs through the US. Check it out below.

Eli & Fur – California Love

Since their beginning, Eli & Fur’s success has only continued to bloom rapidly around their music and aesthetic fashion. Being awarded the PRS Momentum Fund, in partnership with England Arts Council & Spotify, has helped them spearhead a future of new music and new appreciation. In 2017, Eli & Fur attained residency at one of the most prestigious studios in London, the Red Bull London Studios. That same year they had their first-ever performance at Coachella.

Adding to already genuine excitement for Eli & Fur to take the booth at Shady Park is their captivating live set performances. Alongside their recorded originals, they have a separate system that allows the production of synths and rhythms real-time. To keep their performance interesting and fresh, they work hard to control different sounds and sing their hearts out to every audience. Noble and Skillman are beyond talented across all their artistic projects.

With dark satin voices cascading alongside a low bass line, listeners are transported into a daze meant to be felt wholly. So, go get a speaker and immerse yourself in Eli & Fur’s lavish tracks before dancing under the lush canopy at Shady Park on July 26th. Grab tickets here.
