Relentless Beats

Artist Spotlight: Chet Porter

Just when we thought the Goldrush Music Festival lineup couldn’t get any better, eight – yes eight, more crazy talented additions were made. Among these artists is Canadian DJ and producer, Chet Porter. Chet has been in the game for a while now releasing lighthearted singles, like his hit “Stay” featuring Chelsea Cutler, and is currently perfecting his debut album. As an artist on Odesza’s Foreign Family Collective label, he is able to be inspired and mentored by fellow artists like the duo themselves, Jai Wolf, Manila Killa, and many more. He blows us away with a variety of remixes, including of some of our favorite songs “Love is Alive” by Louis the Child, “Broccoli” by D.R.A.M., and “Line of Sight” by Odesza. Chet recently has taken a long break from preforming, aside from playing a few festivals such as Ultra Miami and Odesza’s Sundara, so his addition to the Goldrush lineup is very anticipated. He was a guest on San Holo’s Album1 tour, but bravely removed himself after a few shows to focus on his mental health for the remainder of the time; you can read his statement here. His presence on social media has always been quirky and genuine, and we are glad to see he seems to be doing much better. With Chet’s personal break, we are sure his set will be nothing short of amazing.

If you are a fan of electronic music, hip-hop, indie-pop and anything in between, Chet’s genre-hopping set will be for you! The way he mixes styles together is simply so pleasing and fun to experience.  Chet Porter’s unique sound is bound to leave the crowd in a surreal bliss, and you do not want to miss out.
