GRiZ Excites Fans With Anticipated ‘Bangers[2].Zip’ EP Release on Deadbeats

Passionately talented Michigan-native producer, Grant Kwiecinski, better known as GRiZ, has given us tons of funk filled bass music this year, and he does not seem to be slowing down any time soon. Following GRiZ’s newest album Ride Waves in April, he surprised us with a three track EP called Bangers[1].Zip in June. With the title and all his social media talk of collaborations and making more music, there had been speculations of a second EP, which thankfully ended up being true! Last week, GRiZ announced that Bangers[2].Zip would be released August 14th via Zeds Dead’s label Deadbeats. You can stream the EP below.

The EP starts off with a standout riddim inspired track, “Griztronics”; the highly anticipated collaboration with fan favorite, Subtronics. The wobbly track was debuted by Subtronics during his Electric Forest set this summer and has been blowing up ever since. Zeds Dead also dropped the collab at Veld Music Festival in Canada prior to the EP release on their label being announced… so sneaky of the boys! The next two tracks, “Freak The Method” and “Push The Vibe” are heavy and genre-bending, but still give a taste of his usual funky sound, distorted vocals and instruments like guitar. GRiZ fans old and new will not be able to take Bangers[2].Zip off repeat.

We are loving all the unexpected releases from GRiZ and hope to see more in the near future. If you were as blown away by this wub-filled EP as us, be sure to check out the rest of GRiZ’s groovy, positive, unique discography to get you by until the next one.
