Relentless Beats

Artist Spotlight: BRONCHO

Masters of all things indie and surfer rock, BRONCHO is a four-person band based in Norman, Oklahoma, made up of Ryan Lindsey on guitar and vocals, Ben King on guitar, Penny Pitchlynn on bass, and Nathan Price on drums. Their debut album, Can’t Get Past the Lips, was released in 2013 via Fairfax Recordings. Their second, Just Enough Hip to Be Woman, followed just a year later via Dine Alone Records and received favorable attention from press. They have since released two more albums and seen considerable success over the course of the last six years.

Several of the band’s songs have been featured in commercials and television series and they have toured all over the U.S. and Europe, sharing arenas with the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, The Growlers, and Portugal the Man.

Their latest album, Bad Behavior, has been said to be a step in a new direction for the band, as it strays from the catchy, playful sound they originally cultivated, swaying more towards the rebellious. Referencing everything from drugs and sex to religion and sin, the album demonstrates the band’s intentions to do what they want, despite the expectations that might have come with their recent commercial success.

You can see BRONCHO live at Dusk Music Festival in Tucson on November 9th and 10th. Click here to see the full lineup and purchase tickets.
