Boogie T got his homies together for the new, appropriately titled, Joint Force EP

November 20th will saw the release of the highly anticipated new EP ‘‘Joint Force’’ from Boogie T. The Louisiana producer, otherwise known as Brock Thornton, certainly hasn’t let 2020 and lockdown slow things down for him as he continues to take the electronic scene by storm with his earth shattering production.

“I had been wanting to make an EP with a bunch of homies that have been crushing it. A lot of these tracks started when they were in town and rolled through my studio. We got the chance to finish them up during quarantine, each having its own different vibe,” says Boogie T of the new EP, “the whole thing was a collaborative effort, a joint effort… so we decided to name it ‘Joint Force’ just cause, ya know, joints. Kooz got the inspiration behind the cover art from the Gorillaz, and drew all of us in my Jeep.”

Boogie T has risen to prominence in the bass music world as a producer and a touring DJ, performing at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Coachella, EDC, Electric Forest, and many more. With numerous releases on well-known EDM record labels and has collaborated with artists such as GRiZ, Snails, and Ganja White Night, among others.

Now, after continued success with his group Boogie T.rio and a well-received entry into the rap game, Boogie has returned to his roots and released his first multi-track dubstep project since 2019’s ‘‘Old Gold’’ EP.

If you’re looking for a crash course in Boogie T’s trademark wonky, wobbly dubstep sound, look no further. Managing to seamlessly combine influences from Hip Hop, Dub, Bass and Trap into five tracks and collaborate with a diverse list of artists at the same time. With UK producer Conrank opening on ‘Mash It Up’, Dirty Money x Honeycomb teaming up on ‘Beatbox’ followed by a collaboration on ‘Ole Possum’ with Bawldy. The ‘Joint Force’ EP rounds off with tracks ‘Wicket’ ft P0gman and SubDocta on ‘Hot Garage’, this one definitely deserves some attention.

Boogie T has pushed a newfound aspect to his sound and has embraced it to its full potential in the build up to his EP release. Brock continues to show us all why he is regarded as one of the most versatile artists out right now.
