Multi-instrumental musician and chart-topping producer Vanessa Barnes, better known by her stage name VNSSA, showcases her talent with her latest release. “When Will I See You” is a thumping minimalistic house collab with Lenny Kiser, out now via Walker & Royce’s long-awaited label, RDA Records. This follows their recent collaborative success, “Word,” which hit #1 on Beatport.
“When Will I See You” is the flagship release on RDA Records, and is part of their EP series that pairs two tracks for a double-sided single. “When Will I See You” splits the EP with Escapade, Walker & Royce, and Ardalan’s “Animals” on Splits.001. VNSSA cites Walker & Royce as some of her biggest influences and huge supporters of her and her work, making this release one to remember in more ways than one. Listen below.
A high-tempo house track right from the start, “When Will I See You” is layered with variations of silky synthesizer over the bumping bassline and the playful, almost dreamy vocal chops of Neon Super Black. The track follows a fun evolution of sound, with attention-catching sound bites and a relentless backbeat that will have you bouncing in your chair.
VNSSA has recently relocated from her stomping grounds in Newport Beach, CA to the Los Angeles area, taking up the helm as a staple in the local EDM scene. VNSSA regularly plays shows alongside the hottest names in house music, including Chris Lake, Chris Lorenzo, and J.Worra, and has been known to drop in for a surprise B2B from time to time.
With a catalog that spans all genres of House and Techno, and her signature sprinkle of classic disco tunes, VNSSA is a guaranteed good-time. Come and boogie with VNSSA at Shady Park on Sunday, December 5th. Get your tickets here!
