YetepToday is a sad day for electronic dance music. On Monday, November 12th, 2012 Martin Dawson passed away in the hospital after suffering an aneurysm.
Martin was also known as King Roc and nicknamed Hawk. He was one half of the Two Armadillos alongside close friend Giles Smith. In 2009, his album Chapters was met with critical acclaim by the press worldwide. This release will be remembered as a genre-defining album. The album received a nomination for Best Album at the Best Of British 2009 awards.
Dawson was based in Berlin for the last part of his career. Martin was an incredible producer and will be missed by many. From all of us here at Relentless Beats, we hope you rest in peace, Martin Dawson.
