YetepMarcus Schossow delivered his new track “Helvete” this week. It means “hell” in his native Swedish and the new track might be hotter than Hades. His debut on Garuda, “Helvete” packs a punch filled with progressive house beats leaving some critics calling this track “epic” and “legendary”. The track dropped on December 10 and is already being played by some of the biggest names in electronic dance music.
This track is sure to raise hell (no pun intended) on the dance floor. One of my favorite parts of the track is when he asks, “OMG, is this dubstep?” With names like Skrillex owning the genre, it is nice to see guys like Marcus politely mocking the style while producing some playable tracks. This release definiatenly pushes some limits, and will have you dancing from the time the beat drops.
When I asked Marcus about the track, he said, “”Helvete” is a track that changes modes when you least expect it. It starts with Swedish-style arps and pads and transitions into crazy basslines. I was missing a link in my sets to go from beautiful tunes into harder stuff and Helvete is the perfect track for that.”
It might translate into “hell”, but to me “Helvete” sounds like a piece of heaven. Learn more about Marcus Schössow. Listen to the track embedded above and buy the track on Beatport.
