YetepSit back and imagine this- a midget and an old lady are sitting at a table playing gin when suddenly…OH MAN THE SUPERHERO PHONE IN THEIR LIVING ROOM RINGS AND THEY HAVE TO LEAP TO ACTION.
Got it? Good.
That’s exactly what happens in the hilarious and highly entertaining music video for Steve Angello’s latest track Yeah.
This track, and the video, features some awesome 80’s pop culture references and samples from various televisions shows and cartoons. The style in which it is filmed is also reminiscent of 80’s style television–but in high definition.
Granny and her little friend get into some shnazzy 80’s style superhero spandex costumes, throw on shoes with wings and hop right into a classic red late 60’s Mustang complete with a red button that, you guessed it, makes it fly.
The video then cuts to a moment in the past where a Kill Bill style training, with what I presumed to be a Kung-Fu master, ensued.
Granny and her sidekick are off to defeat evil as they take out the drug smugglers and then go after our pseudo Darth Vader villain who is downloading all of the world’s greatest landmarks.
Needless to say, they kick his ass and fly off in to the moon. Because, yeah.
