After two intense weekends of Ultra Music Festival in Miami, most EDM lovers are craving music festival season. It turns out they are in luck with the announcement of TomorrowWorld, easily one of the biggest announcements to come out of Miami Music Week.
Tomorrowland–arguably one of the world’s largest EDM festivals–is taking the party from Belgium to the United States in September for the first time ever. Fans who are not able to travel to Belgium and enjoy the highly-anticipated festival can sigh with relief because the music is coming here to the US–as we reported earlier this year. Right in the middle of MMW, ID&T finally unveiled the city and venue for their next endeavor at the famous Mondrian Hotel.
TomorrowWorld is set to take place in Chattahoochee (say what?) Hills, Georgia from September 27-29 this fall. The location is near Atlanta and was chosen for it’s proximity to the nation’s (and the world’s for that matter) largest airport Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport by passengers annually. The original festival, Tomorrowland, sold out 180,000 tickets in “just one second.” And within 24 hours of the start of pre-registration, over a half-million people registered from all over the world.
Belgian brothers, Manu and Michiel Beers, founded the festivals and describe them as a “big, fantastic and very unique opportunity.” So far, tickets are not available for purchase quite yet, but there is an option on the website created for the Tomorrow-events where you can “pre-register,” which is required to access the ticket shop during on sale dates.
In case fans simply don’t get their EDM fill between the festivities of Ultra Music Festival and the various locations of Electric Daisy Carnival for 2013, check out TomorrowWorld in September. Hopefully a U.S. version of the festival can fill the shoes or even exceed the expectations of the original Tomorrowland festival.
