YetepDutch dance floor destroyer Hardwell debuted his version of Krewella‘s groundbreaking hit “Alive” at the iconic Coachella Festival, crushing the stage and sending VIPs and ravers alike into a euphoric happiness.
“I love to do remixes of original tracks I really love. And I was already playing Alive.” said Hardwell in an interview with Krewella. “I love the vocals. I love the chords. I think the song is perfect. I fell in love with the song when I heard it for the first time.”
Poetically enough, Hardwell passed the torch of International Dance Awards Best Breakthrough Artist to the electropunk trio Krewella, as he went on to win the IDMA for Best Remixer and Best European DJ.
Recently surpassing the 500,000 Twitter followers mark, Hardwell is set for a huge summer, blowing stages and clubs across the world.
The Hardwell remix of Krewella’s “Alive” (which got some love from Pete Tong’s BBC1 Radio show, by the way) released on May 13, exclusively through Beatport.
