YetepElectronic music and culture channel THUMP is bringing you everyone’s (or at least my) favorite French pop band, with a summery, laid back kick to them.
“Trying To Be Cool”, which released in April on Phoenix’s news album Bankrupt!, gets a Breakbot facelift, injecting the tune with beachy scenery and fruity rum cocktails. (Yes. THAT summery).
Listening to the groove, Ed Banger, better known as Breakbot, didn’t have to try to hard. Using old school, French house sounds, the song sounds like something off of Daft Punk‘s 2001 album Discovery.
Lucky for you, THUMP found it in their hearts to provide this track free for the people of summertime. You can download the free track here, and start your surf trip now!
