Introducing the Kaskade App… Live the moment.
A few weeks ago I downloaded the official Armin van Buuren iPhone app. I barely had a chance to play with it and find myself downloading another new app. Now Kaskade has an iPhone app. The app is called “Kaskade” and is free in the iTunes app store.
When you first open the app, you can connect your Twitter, Facebook, or Foursquare profile. I usually don’t mind doing that, but I want to play around with the app a little bit before I give them access to all my contacts. I am sure there are some nice features for connecting your profile, but I want to focus on the app and the features of the app before I do that.
Once you open the app, you will see several tabs including Tour, Music, Store, Photos, Videos, and News. This is very similar to the Armin app, but he’s a DJ… what else are you interested in? I will break down each tab as I discuss my journey through the app. One thing you will notice on the home page, at the bottom of the app, there are random news stories rotating. You never miss a beat by opening the application.
Kaskade is always on tour. Whether he is playing shows in Las Vegas to headlining big festivals, he is always on the road. Here you can find out where he will be, where he has been, and even save specific tour dates under My Events for easy access. Tap on the event and you will get more information on the show, can leave comments, and even upload photos.
The best part of this app is the music. I LOVE Kaskade, and here you can listen to all of his albums and have easy access to his SoundCloud. If you like a track or an album, you can purchase right from the app. They really make it easy to have access to all your favorite tunes.
Going to see Kaskade live? Then you need some official Kaskade merchandise! Here you can browse his store filled with shirts, glow sticks, jewelry, and more. The check out process is a breeze, by the way. I bought some glow sticks!
Photos make social media powerful. Here you can see photos from Kaskade on the road, in the studio, and of fans from all around the world. The app doesn’t allow you to upload photos, but you can browse through hundreds of images. These are always updating, too.
Images are fun, but videos are better! Here you can browse several videos including official music videos and videos of Kaskade on the road. There are a lot of images, but there are hours of video here for your entertainment.
Here you can read official news stories and keep up to date with his Twitter feed. Simply tap a news story to read more. These are always being updated, so you are always in the loop. If you like Kaskade, this app is a must. Even if you don’t like his work, download the app. It’s free and is loaded with great content. I know what I will be doing tonight.
