M4SONIC Reveals Himself In An Interview With Fuse TV

With millions of views on his YouTube channel, thousands of social media followers and major remixes under his belt, M4SONIC has caught the attention of dance music fans with his Novation Launchpads and insanely complex live mixes that set him apart in the industry.

Australian “bedroom producer”, M4SONIC, revealed himself in a recent interview with Fuse TV after maintaining relative anonymity in the last year. His YouTube tutorials and mashups consisted of two Novation Launchpads and his hands. As a classically trained pianist, M4SONIC uses the skills acquired during his training to master the launchpads. Unlike Madeon, M4SONIC does not use the “trigger” function on the launchpad to cue a track, but rather uses the launchpad as a live instrument that plays only when a button is pressed. The process requires a lot of practice and pre-planning.

Omitting his face from the videos did not stop the 21-year-old from garnering the attention of Empire of the Sun who posted his remix of “Alive” on their YouTube page. The young producer also caught the attention of the company behind his instrument of choice, Novation, after emailing them a link to his first YouTube video.
