VONYC 2013: Bring On The New Year

Wow, another full year of trance music has come and almost left, as we prepare for the BEST year of our lives…2014. Paul van Dyk says goodbye and hello to each individual year with his annual VONYC collection, bringing the base and energy to the next set of 12 months.

“Compiling the annual VONYC Sessions album is one of the most demanding, yet fulfilling tasks I do in a year”, says van Dyk. “Selecting the best of the best from your most requested tracks in any 12 month period – especially one as alive with good music as 2013, is always a challenge. The perspective it brings to the end of each year though is the reward.  With the release of this ‘VONYC Sessions’, collectively I feel we’ve brought a picture-perfect representation of the year. Hopefully its one you’ll return and listen to many times in the future and remember this great year that was!”

Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten and Richard Durand line the album’s back with a slew of sparkling legends, while the likes of Max Graham, Heatbeat and Andrew Bayer complete the collection with a number of other new(er) stars.

2013 may be on the way out, but it doesn’t mean we don’t have the time to reflect on all the was, and all that is no more. Appreciate the album for what it is…a compilation of memories from January to December.
