#ABGT100: The Aftermovie and more Zoë, please!

Well, ladies and gentlemen, the first British DJs to ever perform at Madison Square Garden have officially released their recap video.  Yesterday, Above & Beyond debuted a 12-minute aftermovie of their #ABGT100 performance, some tear-jerking behind-the-scenes interviews and, of course, a new track featuring the angelic voice of none other than Zoë Johnston.

#ABGT100 Aftermovie: Above & Beyond At Madison Square Garden, New York

On October 18th, Above & Beyond set the stage for their 100th episode of Group Therapy, their rebranded radio show (550th episode overall for those of you who followed Trance Around the World) at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.  The six-hour show featured the likes of Ilan Bluestone, who has been on fire for Anjunabeats this year, Andrew Bayer with his variety of sounds and, finally, Anjunabeats’ very own superman, Mat Zo, who brought the groove to MSG.

Since the show was live-streamed, A&B released each of the evening’s sets on YouTube.  That being said, the aftermovie consisted of minimal clips from the concert and focuses more on the inspiration for the show, the emotions generated from the group’s music, and the Times Square meet-up.  In just twelve minutes, the video truly captures the essence of A&B and what to expect going forward into their new album, “We Are All We Need,” set to release in January 2015.

If you weren’t lucky enough to catch the live stream, or physically attend the extravaganza, like myself, you weren’t able to hear the latest and greatest track on “We Are All We Need” featuring an iconic voice from the group’s most essential tracks.  Toward the end of the video, “Peace of Mind,” premiered with the voice of an angel, aka Zoë Johnston.  Just take a second and drown in the feels with this one.

This isn’t’ the only track that Anjunabeats has graced our ears with prior to the arrival of Above & Beyond’s new album.  Just last week, on Friday, Dec. 5th, they debuted, “All Around the World,” with Alex Vargas on ABGT107.  That being said, I cannot wait to see what this new album has in store for the direction of A&B going forward.  We already know it’s got some pretty big shoes to fill, as it is the first full album release since 2011’s “Group Therapy.”

Above & Beyond is set to begin their North American tour for “We Are All We Need” on February 11th, 2015 at The Forum in Los Angeles.  For a full list of tour dates, please visit INSERT LINK.  Stay tuned, big things to come for these three!  Make sure to check out the aftermovie here.
