Art Department – Kisses For Roses (The Martinez Brothers and Soul Clap Remixes)

Art Department have just released three stellar remixes to their track ‘Kisses For Roses’ from their 2014 album, Natural Selection. They’ve pegged heavy hitters The Martinez Brothers and Soul Clap to deliver their unique takes on the single. Both remixes are out now via Ultra Music, as well as Art Department’s very own No.19 Music.

The Bronx native Martinez Brothers, who are rapidly emerging as global leaders in the house music scene, took an upbeat, 4 on the floor take on the track. Dropping a whirling acid-laced synth around the originally slow-burning piece, they’ve turned this one into a peak time thriller of a track.

Boston natives Soul Clap took a funk-fueled stab at the track, chopping up the original vocal sample into a flurry of stutters, claps and half-step beats, while maintaining the soul of the original version. Both remixes sit nicely atop a second offering from Soul Clap, who also dished out a dub remix.
