YetepAfter a six-year break, The Prodigy returned in March with the release of their acclaimed sixth studio album, The Day Is My Enemy. The album, befitting the description of a snarling, unvicious, and uncompromising exploration of shadowy urbanity, has achieved great success, as it took The Prodigy to the top of the UK album charts for the sixth time. With an album that The London Telegraph describes as “a relentless 90 minutes of cohesive music that confirmed the group as among the very best live acts in the world”, it’s apparent that The Prodigy still has that gritty and explosive intensity that the band is famed for and that their live shows are long overdue.
The Prodigy, currently in the throes of an intensive European summer touring schedule, have finally annouced their first North American tour dates of this year. Headlining the aptly named Riot Fest, the band will be performing at stops in Denver, Chicago, and Toronto. The Prodigy will find themselves taking the stage alongside acts such as Iggy Pop, Ice Cube, Rancid, Motorhead, The Pixies, Run DMC, and more. The Prodigy has always been unafraid to blaze their own path. NME notes their return as “a renewed relevance and tensely coiled rage that proves that these perennial underdogs still have the sharpest teeth”. Indeed, The Prodigy never fails to bring their intesity to their live shows, where they remain as power and potent as ever.
Be sure to check out their latest album The Day Is My Enemy, out now, here.
The Prodigy’s Upcoming North American Tour Dates:
