Weekly Underground Sound: Billy Kenny’s Dirtybird Campout ‘Whittling’ Mix

The days are getting shorter and the weather is cooling down, but summer isn’t quite over yet! As September comes to a close, Dirtybird will be embarking on one last summer-esque shenanigans at this years first-ever Dirtybird Campout on October 2-3 at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, California. The jam-packed lineup has already been announced and features some of the Dirtybird staples, such as J.Phlip, Kill Frenzy, and Justin Martin. Alongside the head camp counselors will be friends of the Dirtybird family, like Benoit & Sergio, Sacha Robotti, and Mikey Lion, to name a few.

As we all pack up out tents, grab our backpacks, and prep for what will surely be the best camp experience ever, DJs like Billy Kenny are here to give us a quick preview of what we’re in for. In the hour-long mix Billy Kenny provides for the Dirtybird Campout prep, he hits on plenty of bass-heavy deep tracks from Kry Wolf, Hannah Wants, and he even drops a few tracks from his own imprint, This Ain’t Bristol. The mix never stops thumping, making it impossible to sit still. If this is just a taste, I can only imagine how hard the camp will be quaking from the bass-heavy, no-nonsense, booty-shaking vibes that DJs will be bringing to the inaugural Dirtybird Campout.
