Shift K3Y Releases ‘Gone Missing’ Remixes

Earlier this month, producer, singer, DJ, and instrumentalist Shift K3Y returned with his brand new release “Gone Missing,” a UK garage heater that showcases the artist’s thriving talent and remarkable ability to stretch his versatility across a range of genres. “Gone Missing” also marks a buzzworthy team up with songstress BB Diamond, a performer who has spent the last year on tour as a backing vocalist for Jess Glynne, Katy B, and Ella Henderson, and who is also being developed under Turn First Management alongside Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding.

Now with the single riding the viral waves, Shift K3Y has invited producers The Him and Gregor Salto to jump on board with their own interpretation of the track on the “Gone Missing” official remix pack. The variation in production styles will find a welcome home with dance music fans across the spectrum. Veteran producer Salto throws a hyperactive two-step spin on the single that proves ideal for club play, while The Him flex their euro house sound on the track and transform the single into a peak hour pick. While Salto and The Him have infused the single with a new breath, stay tuned for part two of the remix soon to come on Ultra Music.

Speaking on “Gone Missing,” Lewis states:

“Words can’t really describe how excited I am for this release, its been the longest in the making out of all my tracks so far. The journey that this track has taken, and everything that has been thrown at it, and its still standing in time for release. To me this is what I would consider a new school take on a very familiar UKG sound.”

Lewis has been awaiting the proper moment to release the single to the world and the timing is perfect. Having spent the summer touring alongside the likes of Steve Aoki, DJ Snake, Bauuer, as well as receiving co-signs from Skrillex very early on in his career, it’s apparent that Shift K3Y is a truly special, and acknowledged talent in electronic music.

Training himself to exist on five hours of sleep a night, Jankel’s work ethic and love for music, means he works around the clock. Writing songs while constantly on the move around the globe, Jankel has been cultivating a musical catalogue that far exceeds his young years. Not failing to mention his chart success with “Touch” and “I Know,” “Touch” charting at #3 on the Official UK Chart, Jankel’s back catalogue is already extensive and impressive; most recently sharing his “Off The Record” project, which garnered support across the board from Clash Magazine to Pitchfork, Revolt, and Okay Player.

With his fourth single via Ultra Records in the US and Columbia Records in the UK, “Gone Missing” hears Shift K3Y return to his celebrated sound and prove himself as a skilled and undeniably brilliant producer. The song will feature on his forthcoming debut album, which has already seen contributions from the likes of Chaka Khan, DJ Mustard, MNEK and James Fauntleroy.
