Deadmau5 Announces Mau5Hax Bus Tour; Special A State of Trance Set at UMF Miami

With his new tracks “GG” and “Saved” catching fire, and the “Project Entropy” release rumors gaining more steam, Deadmau5 remains at the front of EDM news this week as his label Mau5trap announces the “Mau5Hax Bu5 tour”. Though his name never is fully revealed on any poster or advertisement for the tour, the teaser of a “special gue5t” is something to get people excited. But even if the “gue5t” is just another “Joel Troll”, the artists featured on the tour are reason enough to get fans to the doors. Starting off in Deadman5’s native Toronto, are REZZ and ATTLAS; each bringing a unique sound to a very unique tour.

ATTLAS, one of the mainstays on the Mau5trap label, has been giving giving us haunting and progressive sounds since his debut label EP Siren.

For a long while many believed ATTLAS to be an alter ego of Deadmau5 due their similar sound and how his his true identity was not known. But after having a guest mix for Pete Tong’s radio show, it was revealed his true name was Jeff Hartford.

Rezz on the other hand is quite new to the label, but is making waves in her own right. Fresh of her SHIP2SHIP tour with DESTRUCTO, she has been no stranger to the Phoenix area, having only played here a few weeks ago. And in a world full of Pop and Glam, she shows that female producers can have a dark and erie side. Her most recent EP The Silence Is Deafening released on Mau5trap only last month, but has made her a strong addition to the Mau5 family.

The final stop of the tour leads the Bus to Miami just in time for Miami Music Week, and to feature along side ATTLAS are Matt Lange and Steve Duda. Matt Lange has been called Deadmau5’s “Secret weapon” by many writers and producers because of his new deep and dark genre of house. His first release on the label “Ephemera” was loaded with great tracks with the song “Lying to Myself” gaining nearly 100k plays on soundcloud.

And fans won’t have long to wait to see Matt Lange in the valley, as him and Jeremy Olander will be playing at Monarch theater February 26th during their Vivrant tour at the RB Deep event. Tickets and info can be found here.

Steve Duda and Joel Zimmerman (Deadmau5) had a studio Project together called BSOD and had released tracks for many years as recent as 2015. And the addition of him on this tour is mouth watering for any fan of the “Blue Screen Of Death”.

And this leaves the Big one. The announcement that Deadmau5 will be alongside the likes of Armin Van Buuren and Eric Prydz during Ultra 2016 playing at the A State of Trance stage. During a Twitter exchange that Deadmau5 is all to prone to, he was called out by Armin and was asked to show fans “what ‘trance’ is” and it looks like he answered the call.

With the Tour kicking off at the end of February and Ultra inching closer, fans who have longed to hear Deadmau5 in a live setting again can finally say “I Remember”.
