Insomniac‘s 5th annual EDMbiz Conference and Expo will take place from June 14, 2016 to June 16, 2016 in Las Vegas, the week leading up to the 20th anniversary of EDC Las Vegas! Previous installments of this fantastic experience have taken place at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, but this year insomniac is in need of a larger space, and where better to find that than at everyone’s favorite Emperor’s Hotel and Casino, Caesar’s Palace.
With an exponentially growing industry, it was only appropriate to make the venue-change announcement, and the new locale only comes with good news and many expansions to the annual conference. EDMbiz serves as a means to connect with leading industry executives, talents, creatives, and the dance community in general.
One of the great aspects of the larger plot of space is the fact that there will now be a Stage 2 at the expo. Stage 2 will be a brand-new town-hall style area which will play host to quickfire conversations about topics concerning dance culture.
Other new additions accompanying the expanded EDMbiz are new multi-level ticket tier pricing, a Hackathon, an EDMbiz song contest, and the return of an even grander EDMbiz Artist Panel. In past years, there was only one ticket price for the conference, but in 2016 you will have the ability to customize your experience with different pricing tiers that allow you access to different areas of the conference. More details on that can be found here. As for the Hackathon, Insomniac is allowing entrepreneurs and programmers the opportunity to collaborate together to create digital tools that are designed to enhance the festival experience. And finally, the first ever EDMbiz song contest will allow producers to show off their ‘one track’ to leading industry professionals and creatives. Maybe your song will be the next huge track to recieve support from the likes of Hardwell or Alesso!
And like always, if you’ve been to EDMbiz before, you know the artist panel is one of the most exciting aspects. Although the artists have yet to be announced, you can only expect that it will be as huge of one as ever with the exciting new changes that are injecting themselves into the veins of EDMbiz.
Oh, and did I mention that EDMbiz passes get you into a handful of club shows throughout the week…? Worth it.
