Jack Beats, AC Slater, and Petey Clicks to Storm the Night with Night Bass

TUE, MAY 10, 2016

JACK BEATS? AC SLATER? AND PETEY CLICKS? It’s going to be an incredible evening filled with TONS of night bass that we all love. So in order with this new incredibly dope line up, here’s a short intro to each individual artist group coming if you aren’t familiar with them already!

Just in time for their brand new EP release “Work It”, Jack Beats will be here to showcase their amazing night bass productions. What makes their productions so great you ask? While there are only two tracks on their EP and they are both considered house, both songs include a massive influence of tons of other genres packed into them. “It’s all in the influences,” says Niall Dailly, the Scottish half of the band. “There’s always room for a drum n bass breakbeat, or an old rave riff, or a vintage house sample”.

“It might be a hip hop loop, some unlikely, twisted up dubstep bassline or a more minimal techno feel,” says the other half of the band, Ben Geffin. “All these ideas are fed into what we do in the studio.”

AC Slater has begun a lengthy career for himself with his “Night Bass” sound by fusing elements of house music with the dirty basslines of UK garage and sprinkles of old-school rave synths and breaks. With several collaborations with artist including Wax Motif, Petey Clicks, Sinden, and several others he has quickly rose to the top as being the most prominent producer making night bass currently.  A quick look at Slater’s Beatport page reveals well over 100 tracks and remixes over the last five years, including his best-selling Jack Got Jacked EP, a blatant declaration of the invasion of house music by all things bass (and the start of a lengthy friendship with Jack Beats).

Virginia-bred and Los Angeles-based Petey Clicks knows bass music. He’s been releasing underground bangers for years through a number of collaborations and aliases, and is finally stepping out to launch his first solo project. Signed to AC Slater’s Party Like Us Records, Petey is dropping a series of EPs filled with his unique spin on bass house music: clean, crisp masterpieces designed to cross genre barriers and get dance floors vibrating. Already garnering support from the likes of Jack Beats, Gorgon City, Salva, 12th Planet, AC Slater, Sinden, Plastician and Xaphoon Jones to name a few, Petey Clicks is poised to hit hard in 2016.

This is going to be a night that you do not want to forget! So if you haven’t already you can purchase your tickets for this thumping Night Bass show right here.

What's up everybody! My name is Eric Alexander, although feel free to call me The Kid Eric, which is my DJ name. I'm a recent college graduate who started with Relentless Beats back in October 2015. My dream is to be a headliner DJ, but if that doesn't happen, then what I'm doing right now is perfectly alright. As long as I got my music and good vibes. My favorite music is anything with a lot of bass in it. Bass house, dubstep, DnB, trap, and whatever else there is out there that I can put my hands on. I think it's easier to just call me a bass head really. That's pretty much there really is to me. After all, I'm just a kid doing what he loves. If you ever see me at a show don't be afraid to grab my attention and say what's up! I absolutely love meeting new people <3
