RB Weekend Preview: Welcome To Church
The first weekend of June is already here, isn’t that crazy to hear? Time flies by when you’re having fun I guess. We’ve just come off an awesome stretch of Memorial Day weekend festivities that included a sold out Illenium, a couple packed Skrillex show at Talking Stick, and the night before that the Pressroom was on fire with the Night Bass tour. To match the intensity coming off of those shows and more from last weekend, this weekend we have the incredible Black Tiger Sex Machine, Borgeous, and Audien, the latter two at Talking Stick Resort.
Audien @ Talking Stick Resort – 6/4
The small seaport town of Mystic, Connecticut, has been the home of Audien (AKA Nate Rathbun) for his entire life, and it’s in a small apartment in Mystic where Audien began creating music in 2008. He eventually took his piano-driven hands-in-the-air progressive trance sound to the top of the Billboard dance charts, selling out major venues and headlining numerous EDM festivals all over the world. After completing his first headlining tour in 2015, Audien signed to Astralwerks. The label promptly released “Insomnia,” which topped Billboard’s dance music chart. His most recent track is his remix of Kill the Lights by Alex Newell, Jess Glynne, DJ Cassidy which he released a month ago. Black Tiger Sex Machine @ Monarch Theatre – 6/4
Coming out strong with their recent debut LP Welcome to Our Church, Black Tiger Sex Machine is going to absolutely SLAY this night. Consisting of the same dark and raw electronic sound that they have always been notoriously known for, their new LP completely blows everyone’s expectations out of the water. One of their most popular tracks on the LP “Numbers” actually got turned into a music video since it was such a hit. Borgeous @ Talking Stick Resort – 6/5
Finally, last but not least, we’re closing out this weekend with Borgeous over at Talking Stick Resort. He’s got a debut album on the way titled “13″ and he’s already been dropping some tracks from it. “Ride It” is the first single off of “13″. The song features synths, trap styled drops and a hint of a pop/commercial feel to it. Featuring Sean Paul in the track, he adds a new layer and style to classic Borgeous electronic beats, and the result is impressive.

What's up everybody! My name is Eric Alexander, although feel free to call me The Kid Eric, which is my DJ name. I'm a recent college graduate who started with Relentless Beats back in October 2015.
