Relentless Beats

Just In Time For The Olympics, Netsky & Macklemore Team Up To Remix “Rio”

Belgian Drum and Bass producer, Netsky, came on to the scene quickly and gained popularity in the same fashion. Having secured releases on some of the biggest labels in the D&B, gained DJ support from the likes of Friction, Hype, Fabio, and London Elektricity, the young artist earned a nomination as “Best Upcoming Producer” at the Drum and Bass Arena Awards in 2008, and fulfilled this ambition two years on with his “Best Newcomer Producer” award in 2010.

Netsky has collaborated with and remixed many big names in edm, and now he’s teaming up with Macklemore, who you probably know from the song “Thrift Shop,” or his signature hairstyle. Just in time for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Netsky and Macklemore have come together to remake Netsky’s 2015 single, “Rio.”

The original track is filled with punchy beats as well as some pop elements, and now Macklemore joins in with some aggressive vocals to change things up. With just about two weeks until the Olympics the track fits right in with the games to get viewers all around the globe excited, and Netsky will also be heading over to Brazil as a musical ambassador for the Belgian team.
