Tiesto & Jauz Infect The Soul With New Collab

DJ and producing icon Tiësto and one of dance music’s hottest up-and-coming producers JAUZ have come together for their new infectious collab released via Musical Freedom Records earlier this week. Tiësto promised to premiere this new fierce electro house monster entitled “Infected” live in his headlining set at Tomorrowland in Belgium. Adding his own flair to the track like he has in many other heavy-hitting collaborations he’s been apart of, JAUZ influences this massive tune with wonky bass lines, acid-tinged synths, and some massively enhanced bass.

Producing the official music video for the track, Budweiser will be using this single for their own campaigns as well. This isn’t the first time Tiësto and Budweiser have come together; last year they worked on a musical takeover in China, now they take on Tomorrowland, and who knows, maybe next, the world! Tiësto and JAUZ have decided to gift to the fans the larger-than-life track “Infected” as a free download. Both artists wanted “Infected” to capture the belief that music is the ultimate form of self-expression with the ability to “infect the soul,” as well as to capture the transformation fans encounter as they become immersed into the Land of Tomorrow: the energy, the music, and the experience.

“I always want my shows to feel like a once in a lifetime experience. I want to give fans the biggest spectacle and most memorable moment of the whole festival. Budweiser is helping make that possible, by helping me amplify this special performance and giving festivalgoers a night full of surprises they won’t soon forget.” – Tiësto

Tiësto has had a remarkable career, spanning over two decades worth of working in dance music. Mixmag has crowned him “The Greatest DJ of All Time,” while Rolling Stone claims Tiësto is the #1 DJ, due to his influence on the advancement of dance music, paving the way for the dance music world as we know it today. Tiësto had nothing but positive things to say about working with the young shark, and predicts that this new single is going to be huge!

“I’ve been lucky to have my fans support my music for so long. I’ve given lots of tracks and remixes away over the years, but I want to start doing it more. I have a few new releases that we’re going to give away between now and the end of the year and this is the first one. I loved working with JAUZ. He’s made some amazing tracks and I think this one we made is huge!” – Tiësto

In slightly over a year, 23-year-old Sam Vogel has influenced the sound of festivals worldwide with anthems like “Rock the Party” and “Feel the Volume” as JAUZ; however, he has also influenced the industry in another way with his no genres mentality. Genre blending has always been a core tenant of the JAUZ music style, and with his mantra “music has no boundaries,” the shark has turned his music into his mission. When asked about his inspirational qualities and influence sprouted from his mantra in an interview I completed with him via phone about a year ago now….

“I feel like as [producers] and people in some sort of social state of power, we have influence, you know? Frankly, I don’t have the same influence as like a Tiësto or Skrillex, but I guess my point is I never got into music because I wanted to make a bunch of money, or be rich, or have a sick house and a dope car. I got into it because I love it. I feel like it is part of my moral obligation, both as a music producer and a person of influence in the industry to try to make a difference in one way or another.” – JAUZ

It’s ironic that a year ago, this is how he compared himself to Tiësto, and now together they are influencing one of the world’s largest, most notorious dance music festivals, Tomorrowland with their festival anthem “Infected.”
