YetepSlushii has been on a quick and crazy rise during 2016 as one of the biggest breakout artists edm has ever seen. He kills it with his own sound including dreamy future bass and dubstep, and has dished out some impressive remixes including Marshmello’s “Alone” and Adventure Club’s “Fade,” along with his own tracks like “So Long” featuring Madi and “Take My Hand” to name a few.
The Chainsmokers latest release, “Closer” featuring Halsey has been remixed by tons of artists, and now Slushii joins the bandwagon and dominates the rest. I was looking forward to hearing Slushii’s rendition, and its everything I hoped it would be.
The remix starts off with a slow and warm opening led into a piano progression behind Halsey’s vocals, then followed by a fantastic drop with plucky melodies. The entire song is warm and euphoric, I’d say its nothing short of future bass heaven. Catch Slushii making his Arizona debut next weekend at N9NEFEST in Tuscon alongside Kayzo and Marshmello.
