YetepThe Australian powerhouse, Emoh Instead, most commonly known as What So Not, has finally released what fans have desperately awaited. Divide & Conquer is the first release since Flume parted from the duo to pursue his solo career. Ever since, WSN’s incredibly loyal fanbase have been anxiously wondering what Emoh’s sound will hold.
Well, fear not anxious fans, all your worries will be gone when you indulge into this 7 track EP. Featuring up and coming artists on almost every track, What So Not’s collaborative intelligence is setting the bar as high as it can go, not to mention the versatility of his sound; from dream-filled synths to wonky bass, this EP offers a little taste of heaven for every EDM extraordinaire.
‘Lone,’ featuring Ganz and Joy pulls the heart strings with the romantic vibes, while George Maple and Rome Fortune kill the bass-heavy piece, ‘Buried.’ This EP flows from smooth to hard-hitting in a matter of minutes, but somehow seems to fit together in a perfectly crafted puzzle. What So Not exceeded expectations and truly defined the word “comeback.”
Although Flume will be always be remembered in the creation of What So Not, Emoh has shown that he will launch his career to above and beyond. With a North American tour already lined up, What So Not just so happens to be making a pit stop in Arizona for Diplo’s Mad Decent Block Party on Friday, September 15. Don’t miss the set of a lifetime!
