RB Deep In The Mix: Prok & Fitch Podcast August 2016

Ben Prok and James Fitch, better known as Prok & Fitch are a dynamic house duo out of Brighton, UK. 2015 was a huge year for the pair as they consistently produced top-ten hits and gained attention from some huge names. Their music is being heard everywhere, from Pete Tong and Annie Mac‘s radio shows, to Carl Cox club sets. Their versatility among platforms has been a huge contributing factor to their success. They recently put out an EP, Double Vision, on the well-stablished Suara label, following 3 successful EPs in 2015. They’ve done all of this while upholding a successful label and selling out shows across the globe, demonstrating the dedication they possess.

This week’s RB Deep mix is some of the latest from Prok & Fitch.

This mix, just over an hour, comes from their Floorplay podcast, a monthly podcast that attracts tens of thousands of listeners. They start things off with a bit of a throw back– a groovy track, “4 You” by MK‘s alias 4th Measure Man. From there a fluid rhythm and captivating baselines lead the way as we hear tracks by Manu Desrets, Solitaire, Infinity Ink, Boris, and one of my personal favorite, Green Velvet‘s “Flash”. The duo also included their percussion fueled track “Pitch Roll” from their newest EP. All in all this is a solid, funky mix to fill your deep house needs!
