Breaking Barriers Between High Society & Urban Culture: Red Bull Flying Bach Visits Phoenix December 9-11

Coming to Phoenix in December is a show unlike any other. Combining breakdance with classical stylings of Bach is ‘Redbull Flying Bach‘ birthed by the partnering of award-winning dance team The Flying Steps with renowned opera director Christoph Hagel.

Fusing one of the most influential works in Western classical music with the jaw dropping physicality of breakdance, Red Bull Flying Bach is the first of its kind bringing the unexpected together for the perfect balance of visual amazement and delightful classical music.

The innovative performance is set to Johann Sebastian Bach‘s The Well-Tempered Clavier accompanied by piano, cembalo and electronic beats. Swedish ballerina Anna Holmström joins the seven male breakdancers of The Flying Steps, fusing key elements of urban dance culture with precision ballet.

Red Bull Flying Bach: The Renaissance in Florence

The show’s 2010 premier in Berlin’s Neue Nationalgalerie was followed by a sold-out German tour, and now Red Bull decided to bring this amazing musical and dance experience to the rest of the world resulting now in more than 300,000 spectators in 28 countries having experienced the excitement.
