DJ To Watch: YOOKiE

As the bass genre has exploded and become what some might say is over saturated, YOOKiE stands out amongst the rest. Based in New York, the duo is made up of brothers Anthony and Chris Alfaro who made the right choice pursuing music together.

Having already been released on Dim Mak, Big Beat, Buygore, with forthcoming releases on Mad Decent, Good Enuff, and Never Say Die Records, YOOKiE’s music highlights the direction in which electronic music is headed.

The duo’s career blew up with their remix of Skrillex‘s ‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites’ which was featured during The Chainsmokers and Carnage‘s sets at Ultra Music Festival 2016. YOOKiE also destroy’s their remixes like the one’s they put together for  The Chainsmokers’ “Inside Out” and Dillon Francis & NGHTMRE’s “Need You.”

With their experimental and high-energy approach to their production, these brothers have solidified their spot in the scene. A creative imagination and unique approach is exactly what the industry needs these days, and YOOKiE exceeds that by a long shot.
