Artist Spotlight: Alesso – The World is His

Alessandro lindblad, more commonly known as Alesso, is a Swedish dance and progressive house music producer from Sweden. First gaining huge recognition for his remixes of tracks by Tiesto, Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, and Kaskade, Alesso’s career blew up when his remix of ‘Pressure’ was placed on the list of top played songs of 2011. After earning himself a spot on DJ Mags Top 100 DJ list, he released his first BBC Essential Mix in 2012.

Alesso is known for playing the most upbeat live sets at some of the biggest festivals from Coachella to EDC and Tomorrowland. He’s collabed with everyone from Matthew Koma in their single ‘Years’ along with one of his biggest influences from Swedish House Mafia, Sebastian Ingrosso. He’s also worked with producers like David Guetta, Calvin Harris, and Tove Lo. Other singles like ‘Cool’ and ‘Heroes’ became the inspiration for countless remixes by other artists.
