Relentless Beats

Chris Garcia Through the Years

Chris Garcia was born in Arles, France. He was born to a DJ father, which stemmed his early passion for music and technique. He was destined to be great from the beginning. Garcia once said, “I remember the feeling. I remember getting Goosebumps listening to my father entertain crowds and saying, ‘I need to do that some day.’”

He began his career in 2000 when he created a group of DJs called ‘S7 Diffusion’ that played at local student parties. Shortly after he became a resident DJ at one of the most famous nightclubs in Avignon: The Red Zone, followed by a residency at Palma in Cap d’Agde. He continued to pick up residencies across Europe and into Africa.

Chris Garcia has always been an innovative mind and in 2002 he created a new concept called “Fight Club”. This concept brought him to the biggest clubs in Europe and eventually inspired him to move to Las Vegas. He packed up his bags on a whim but it wasn’t long before he was offered his first American residency at the world-renowned DRAI’S Afterhours on Las Vegas Blvd.

After just a year in Vegas, Garcia was offered guest DJ spots in other American cities like Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Chicago. He became the resident DJ at Tryst and Tao, two prestigious Las Vegas nightclubs, and a residency in Mexico at the famous Nikki Beach. Chris’ time in Las Vegas allowed him to work and play with some of the best DJs of all time including Steve Angello, Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold, and Kaskade.

In 2009 Chris decided to take his creativity in a new direction andstart producing his own music. In 2010 Garcia got his own radio show alongside fellow DJs Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Pete Tong, and Bob Sinclar. Garcia’s podcast, downloaded by thousands of fans worldwide, features live mixes from club and pool sets, as well as releases of his newest tracks.

2012 was a memorable year for the international DJ. He opened the mainstage at EDC Las Vegas and received a Resident DJ of the Year award for his residency at the Playhouse Los Angeles.

In 2013 Chris was signed by Universal Music, one of the biggest labels in the world. His first single on the label, a remake of “Rhythm of the Night”, became one of the biggest tunes in Europe that year.

From Los Angeles to Morocco to Hong Kong, Chris has put his footprint in the industry of house music. He’s truly living the American dream. Chris has headlined nine of the top ten EDM venues in America and more than half of the top 50. He has headliner residencies at Playhouse in Los Angeles, Vessel in San Francisco, Set in Miami, Sutra in Orange County, and plenty of others. He averages over 150 shows a year and continues to put out new music all the time. Just last month he put out two new tracks, “Feel That” and “Like That”

See the legend himself this Friday, February 24th at Gypsy Bar in downtown Phoenix.
